Beijing time On January 26, the Australian Open women’s singles quarterfinal resumed, the tournament will be 27th seed Collins and world number 61 Kone meet.Collins, the 27th seed, was on fire as she knocked Kone out in straight sets to reach the last four of the Australian Open for the first time in three years.Collins broke in the fourth game to take a 3-1 lead in the opening set.Kone broke her opponent’s serve in the ninth game before serving back to 5-5.In the 12th game Kone was broken again in the inevitable game and Collins won the opening set 7-5.Collins took a 2-0 lead in the second set with a string of early saves.Collins broke again in the fourth game, then saved two break points in the fifth game for a 5-0 lead.Collins easily saved the seventh game and won the second set 6-1.Collins, seeded 27th, beat Cornet 7-5/6-1 in one hour and 28 minutes to advance to the semifinals.Collins equalled her best grand Slam record and will now see the winner of the match between Sviatek and Konepi.
