The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development has formally suspended Russia’s accession process

The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), which is headquartered in Paris, France, announced on February 25 that it has formally terminated Russia’s accession process to the ORGANIZATION.In addition, the OECD Council asked the Secretary-General to take the necessary measures to close the OECD office in Moscow and to stop sending invitations to Russia at ministerial level.In addition, the Council requested the Secretary-General not to enter into new voluntary contribution agreements with Russia and to take the necessary measures to halt all pending projects financed by Voluntary contributions from Russia.The OECD Council also said it would continue to reconsider all cooperation with Russia in the coming weeks, continue to assess the economic and social impact of the current Russian military action in Ukraine, and discuss the impact of military action on the energy market with the INTERNATIONAL Energy Agency.Responsible editor: Shi Tingyu
