NATO says it will not send troops into Ukraine

The North Atlantic Council held a special meeting at NATO headquarters on Thursday (local time).At a news conference after the meeting, NATO secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said the alliance has no intention of sending troops to Ukraine.He also said NATO is increasing its troop presence in the eastern part of the alliance, on the territory of NATO member states, and that the alliance has decided to activate its defense program.He also called on Russia to immediately halt its military operations and seek a diplomatic solution.(International Online)
