Our cooperation has bucked the trend and played a positive role in improving the well-being of our two peoples and safeguarding international and regional peace and stability.President Xi Jinping will meet with Madam President tomorrow.China attaches great importance to developing relations with Singapore, and is willing to maintain high-level exchanges with Singapore, deepen the development strategy, promote “new international sea trade channel” in the transportation logistics, construction mechanism, international cooperation in areas such as new achievements, to strengthen the financial, disease resistance, vocational education and training in various fields such cooperation, a better benefit the two countries and two peoples.Li pointed out that China is ready to gradually resume personnel exchanges with Singapore on the basis of epidemic prevention and control, and facilitate the resumption of classes in China for Singaporean students.It is hoped that the two sides will work together to effectively implement the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership agreement and promote regional economic integration at a higher level.China is ready to actively communicate with New Zealand on joining the Comprehensive and Progressive Trans-Pacific Partnership and the Digital Economy Partnership to push bilateral cooperation to a higher level of openness.Halimah wished the Chinese people a happy New Year, saying that Beijing is the world’s first “Double Olympic City” and the opening ceremony of the Beijing Winter Olympics was exquisite.Singapore-china relations are very strong, with frequent high-level interactions and sound economic and trade cooperation.The two sides should seize the opportunity to further deepen cooperation in such areas as the Land-Sea New Corridor and expand cooperation in new areas such as digital economy and green development for the benefit of our two countries and peoples.Singapore supports China’s accession to the Digital Economy Partnership Agreement and welcomes China’s application to join the Comprehensive and Progressive Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement.
